These Terms govern your use of Namelie: Baby Name Finder (“Namelie”), including its mobile application, website, online database and related services (together, the “Service”). They form an agreement between you and NORDIOS ApS, CVR DK 36475528, Hjallesevej 95, 5230 Odense M, Denmark.

By creating an account, purchasing access or otherwise accepting these Terms in the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data. Additional terms presented by Apple or Google apply to downloads, billing and use of their platforms. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you cannot waive under applicable law.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children.

You may use the Service only where doing so is lawful. You are responsible for ensuring that the Service is suitable for your circumstances and location.

You may register using email, Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. Third-party sign-in is also governed by the relevant provider’s terms and privacy practices.

Provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure and tell us promptly at sales@nordios.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account. We are not responsible for activity caused solely by your failure to protect credentials, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

The Service lets you connect with another user and compare name preferences. Information displayed through this feature may include your profile name, connection status and names that you both select. The Privacy Policy describes the information shared through the feature.

Connect only with the person you intend to invite. You must not impersonate anyone, misuse an invitation or access another person’s account. We cannot guarantee that a link, code, email address, account or device is controlled by the person you expected.

You can disconnect using the available account controls. Disconnecting may affect shared matches and other connected information. NORDIOS provides Namelie’s matching tool but is not responsible for personal decisions or disagreements between connected users.

The Service presents information drawn wholly or partly from public sources. Meanings, origins, spellings, pronunciations, popularity, rankings, cultural associations and gender categories may vary between sources and may be incomplete, inaccurate or out of date.

We do not guarantee that a name is culturally appropriate, available, lawful, registrable or accepted by an authority in any country. Check the rules and authoritative sources relevant to you before making a decision.

The Service is for general discovery and entertainment. It does not provide legal, medical, genealogical, linguistic, cultural, religious or other professional advice.

The Service may offer a monthly subscription, an annual subscription and a one-time purchase of the full version. The features included in each option are described in the purchase screen before payment.

Purchases made in the iOS app are processed through Apple. Purchases made in the Android app are processed through Google Play. The store displays the applicable price, currency, taxes, billing period and any offer terms before you confirm the purchase. Prices can differ by country, currency, platform, tax and promotion.

Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. The store charges the payment method associated with your Apple or Google account at the frequency and price shown in the purchase flow, including any validly notified price change.

Manage or cancel the subscription through the store where you bought it. Cancellation normally stops future renewal while access continues until the end of the paid period, unless the store terms or applicable law provide otherwise. Deleting the App or your Namelie account does not cancel the subscription. If you request account deletion, cancel an active subscription separately to avoid future charges.

If we offer a trial or introductory price, its duration, eligibility, renewal price and cancellation terms will be shown before purchase. Unless you cancel in time, the subscription converts to the paid plan described in that offer.

A one-time purchase gives access to the full-version features identified at the time of purchase. It is a licence to use those features, not ownership of the App and not a promise that the Service or every feature will be available for your lifetime.

Purchases can normally be restored through the same store account as permitted by Apple or Google. Access on a different platform is included only if the purchase screen expressly says so.

You may request a refund using Apple’s or Google Play’s official process for the store where you purchased. A request does not guarantee approval. You may also contact us at sales@nordios.com for support. Refunds, price reductions, repairs, continued access and other remedies remain available whenever required by applicable law.

We may send emails or in-app messages needed to operate the Service, including authentication, security, partner invitations you request, purchase support, account changes and important legal or service notices.

With your consent, or where another rule permits it, we may also send newsletters, offers and other marketing by email. You can unsubscribe using the link in the message or the available account controls. Opting out of marketing does not stop necessary account, security, transaction or service messages.

The App may ask for permission to send push notifications, including partner activity, matches, reminders, service information and, if you separately agree where required, marketing. You can change notification permissions in the App or device settings. Delivery is not guaranteed because it depends on your device, settings, network and third-party notification services.

Accepting these Terms is not consent to optional marketing, tracking or personalised advertising.

The Service may display advertising from NORDIOS or third parties. Ads may link to services we do not operate. The advertiser is responsible for its products, claims and external service, and its own terms and privacy policy may apply. Displaying an ad does not by itself mean that NORDIOS endorses it.

Where law or platform rules require a choice for personalised advertising, tracking or related storage, we will request it separately. The Privacy Policy explains relevant data practices and choices.

You must not:

• use the Service unlawfully or to harm, harass, deceive or impersonate another person;
• access another person’s account or misuse a partner invitation;
• interfere with the Service, its security or other users;
• introduce malware or attempt unauthorised access;
• scrape, harvest or automatically extract the name database or other Service content;
• copy, modify, distribute, sell or commercially exploit the Service except as law expressly permits; or
• reverse engineer the App except to the extent that applicable law does not allow that restriction.

NORDIOS and its licensors own the App, software, interface, design and protectable selection, organisation and presentation of the database and content. Publicly available names and facts do not become our exclusive property merely because they appear in the Service.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Service for its intended non-commercial purpose while these Terms apply. Apple usage rules also apply to the iOS App.

If you voluntarily send feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or payment, provided that we do not publicly identify you without permission.

Our Privacy Policy explains the data we collect, why we use it, who receives it, how long we retain it and the choices and rights available to you. It also covers partner matching, authentication providers, cloud hosting, communications, advertising and analytics where used.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data and the Service. No internet transmission, storage or authentication system can be guaranteed completely secure.

The Service depends on Apple, Google, Amazon Web Services, authentication providers, operating systems, networks and other third parties. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply to their services. We are not responsible for a third party’s independent service, but this does not exclude responsibility that applicable law places on NORDIOS.

We may update the Service to add or change features, maintain security, comply with law or platform rules, correct errors or adapt to technical requirements. Some updates may be necessary for continued use.

If a change materially reduces a paid digital service, we will provide the notice and options required by applicable law. Where required, this may include continued access to an unchanged version, termination, a proportionate refund or another remedy.

We aim to keep the Service available but do not promise uninterrupted, error-free or permanent operation. Maintenance, defects, security events, internet conditions and third-party failures may interrupt it.

We may suspend or discontinue a feature or the Service for a valid operational, security, legal or commercial reason. Where reasonably possible, we will give advance notice of a material discontinuation. We will honour prepaid access or provide the remedy required by applicable law. A one-time purchase does not guarantee permanent online operation, but this does not remove any mandatory remedy if the Service is discontinued.

We may restrict or suspend an account when reasonably necessary to investigate misuse, protect users or the Service, comply with law, address non-payment or enforce these Terms. Except in urgent cases, we will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to address the issue where appropriate.

You may request account deletion through the controls provided in the App or as described in our Privacy Policy. Deletion does not cancel an Apple or Google Play subscription. Some information may be retained where required or permitted for legal obligations, accounting, security, fraud prevention or disputes, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

We provide the Service with the level of care and skill required by applicable law. Subject to those rights, the Service and name information are provided on an as-available basis, and we do not guarantee that every feature, entry or third-party service will always be available, accurate or suitable for your purpose.

You remain responsible for naming decisions, verifying official registration requirements and deciding what to share with a partner.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable. Nothing limits mandatory consumer remedies.

To the extent permitted by law, NORDIOS is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you accepted these Terms, business losses arising from consumer use, or loss caused solely by your breach, device, network or an independent third-party service outside our reasonable control.

We may change these Terms for a valid reason, including changes to the Service, law, security or platform requirements. We will give reasonable notice of material changes. Where consent is legally required, the change will not apply until you accept it. The effective date and version appear at the top, and previous versions will be retained.

If a material change adversely affects an ongoing paid service, you may have a right to terminate or another remedy under applicable law.

These Terms are governed by Danish law. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protection available under the law of your country of residence. You may bring proceedings in any court available to you under mandatory law; otherwise, the Danish courts have jurisdiction.

Please contact sales@nordios.com first so we can try to resolve a complaint. Eligible Danish consumer complaints may be submitted to Mæglingsteamet for Forbrugerklager through Nævnenes Hus at naevneneshus.dk. Eligibility rules and monetary thresholds apply. Consumers elsewhere may have access to a local consumer authority or dispute-resolution body.

For the iOS App, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the software licence unless NORDIOS publishes a custom EULA. If these Terms conflict with that agreement on the iOS software licence, Apple’s standard EULA controls to the extent of the conflict. These Terms are between you and NORDIOS, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for operating or supporting the Namelie Service beyond obligations it cannot exclude under applicable law.

Google Play’s terms govern your use of Google Play. These Terms are between you and NORDIOS, not Google. Apple and Google may administer billing, cancellation or refunds under their applicable store terms.

If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent legally possible. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of it.

We may transfer this agreement as part of a merger, reorganisation or sale of the Service, provided that the transfer does not reduce mandatory consumer rights. You may not transfer your account or rights except where applicable law permits it.

These Terms and the purchase information shown before payment contain our contractual terms for the Service, together with any applicable non-waivable platform or legal terms. The Privacy Policy separately explains how NORDIOS processes personal data.
